Happy New Year!
Three bright, clean and updated campuses and EC’s amazing, loving, professional faculty welcomed new and returning EC families to the first day of the 2017-18 school year. With a large number of new students and growing enrollment at all three campuses, there were many new friends to meet amidst the typical “First-day excitement.”
Parents dropped students off at all three campuses, sharing pictures on social media channels at #ECFirstDay.
In one of our favorite EC traditions, the first day of school also marks the launch of our Theme Verse for the year. This year’s theme, “Living Stones,” is taken from 1 Peter 2:5:
“You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
The theme has already made an impact on our campuses! In addition to posters and bulletin boards throughout all three campuses, ECMS Principal Mr. Lazor unveiled a stone monument that was erected on the Middle School campus in an opening worship ceremony for all Middle School students.
Campaign 125, the Capital Campaign tied to our 125th year has just launched, but we got a head start on some of the classroom and security upgrades over the summer. Take a look at everything that was done! And yes, every learning space is finally Air Conditioned! Check out our faculty’s reaction to that fact:
We are so excited to partner with our awesome EC families again this year! What a great first day! And now- only 183 more to go!
