EC Community,
This summary is published for the students and parents of Eastern Christian School. It is the culmination of a lot of work over the summer months as we plan to open our campus for the fall 2020 semester to on-campus learning amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be the first time that we will be back on campus since we left on March 13th.
We abide by the standards set forth by the CDC and local health officials. The plan is based on the New Jersey Department of Education’s The Road Back: Restart and Recovery Plan for Education and Guidance for New Jersey Child Care Facilities On COVID-19 Related Health and Safety Requirements. Multiple teams, consisting of educational and healthcare experts, have worked diligently and always with the twin goals of safety and learning at the forefront of every decision that we made.
A unique aspect of our school community is that we operate on multiple campuses and a wide age range of students, faculty, and staff. In some cases, this will necessitate different protocols on different campuses, depending what is most safe and age appropriate for our students. EC parents are to assume that articulated protocols are for all EC campuses unless otherwise stated.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your campus principal directly.
Thank you for your continued partnership in the mission of our school. We know that our families have been praying for us all throughout this process, and we covet your continued prayers moving forward. We always have the safety and well being of our students, faculty and staff as our first priority and we’re excited to have developed a plan that allows for that safety whilst on campus.
And, quite frankly, we’re really excited to be back together on campus!
