Eastern Christian School is excited to welcome Olivia Wollner as food services assistant.
Ms. Wollner received a bachelor’s from Montclair State University in Nutrition and Food Science. She has held various food service positions and completed a season of farming on a local nonprofit farm. Ms. Wollner has also immersed herself in the culinary field as a chef for a meal plan company, where she used her skills in nutrition and menu design to create healthy meals from scratch.
I grew up locally in Midland Park and went on to attend Pace University in Manhattan and Montclair State University. I love all things outside, hiking, running, and gardening—I love seeing traces of God’s beauty in all of his creation. I love to cook for myself and others, and I am always looking for new, innovative ways to prepare foods to be healthy and delicious. Some of my greatest joys are serving my church as a member of the garden ministry and teaching children’s church at Fardale Trinity Church in Mahwah. My fiancé, Josiah, and I greatly anticipate getting married this upcoming September!
I feel led by God to work in a position where my passions for food, nutrition, and the Lord can shine and am overjoyed to be a part of the revival of the Food Service Department which will serve the three Eastern Christian School campuses.
I studied nutrition and food science in college and have always hoped for a hands-on career that would impact the health and wellbeing of others. My love for Christ influenced me to look for a position at a Christian organization where I would be surrounded by fellow believers and where my faith would be bolstered and encouraged. Through God’s providence, my long search for a meaningful career brought me to Eastern Christian, and my skills applied perfectly to the food service department that is being rebooted for the upcoming school year! This process has no doubt been orchestrated by God’s hands and I am extremely grateful for this experience.
Eastern Christian School is unique in that it is a very close-knit community of believers and families who love the Lord and want to raise generations to love and follow Him. Although I did not attend Eastern Christian, I already feel like a member of the family and cannot wait to create roots here. The opportunity to be a part of a faith-based organization that strives for excellence and encourages the same from its students is and will continue to be a great blessing in my life.
