The 2023 EC golf outing was a huge success!
On Monday, May 22, the Lord provided the most beautiful day for a round of golf, fellowship within the EC community, and the continued support of the Eastern Christian mission. 128 golfers and 58 sponsors came together at Wild Turkey Golf Club in Hamburg to raise more than $85,500 gross towards the completed renovation of the new dining and fellowship area in the high school, the ditto Student Commons.
The day started out with a putting contest and lunch for all golfers. Then it was time to hit the course for the scramble format. There was no shortage of friendly competition that afternoon, especially on Hole #14 where the annual Beat The EC Golf Team Member contest took place. Sophomores Joe DeLuccia and Charles Ross took turns teeing off as the golfers tried to best their shot. It was great to see alumni Golf Team members tee off against current students!
After a gorgeous day on the course, the golfers gathered under the tent for a buffet dinner, announcement of the day’s winners, and additional prizes.
